PARTNERSHIP STATUS AND RECOGNITION TO DON BOSCO CHINTHANALOKA AS SDG PARTNERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR 2019/20

Don Bosco Chinthanaloka was honored to welcome Dr. Deshapriya S. Wijetunge, the Director General of Sri Lanka-UN Friendship Organisation (SUNFO). Dr. Wijetunge sustained Regional, National and Provincial Civil Society-United Nations - Government engagement on a Post-2015 development framework.

The "Don Bosco Chinthanaloka Institute of Philosophy & Humanities" @ Katuwila, Ahungalla, Sri Lanka has been recognized as a SDG Partnership Institute for 2019/20 with effect from 27 September, 2019 by duly evaluating the role of said institute playing to achieve SDGs.
In September 2015, 193 member States of the United Nations adopted 17 new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to make our world more prosperous, inclusive, sustainable and resilient. These SDGs represent an unprecedented opportunity for institutions, organizations and societies to align their own sustainability indicators with broader societal goals.
It is proposed to present the partnership certifications at the special ceremony scheduled to be held at BMICH, Colombo on Nov 2 , 2019 @ 9.30 a.m.
