The professor. Michal Vojtáš is the new Vice Rector of the University
Promotion of scientific research and synergy between the various realities of the UPS, the commitments for the next three years

On 7 October 2021, the Grand Chancellor of the University, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, appointed prof. Fr Michal Vojtáš as Vice Rector of UPS for the next three years.

Thanking for the trust, Fr Vojtáš undertakes to "carry out the task in close collaboration with the Rector, in synergy with the various realities of the University and the Salesian Congregation, promoting scientific research, accompanying people and strategic processes".

Originally from Slovakia and a Salesian since 1997, prof. Vojtáš is an expert in the area of educational planning and leadership. He received his doctorate from our Faculty of Education with a thesis entitled "Planning and discerning: Salesian educational-pastoral planning between history, theories and innovative proposals" (LAS, Rome, 2015).

He is the director of the Don Bosco Study Center and lecturer in the Chair of Salesian History and Pedagogy of the Faculty of Educational Sciences. He has developed collaborations with the Salesian Headquarters, the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education and various Salesian realities on a continental, national and local level.

He is the author of several publications, including "Salesian Pedagogy after Don Bosco", "Reviving Don Bosco's Oratory: Salesian Youth Ministry, Leadership and Innovative Project Management" and edited the Proceedings of the International Congress "Youth and Life Choices: Educational Perspectives ".

He is an editorial member of the journals "Journal of Salesian Studies", "Pedagogical Orientations" and "Notes of Youth Ministry".
